FOTA Prayer Targets
  • Pray the church will be captured by the love of the King and is adorned with His beauty.
      For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:14-20)
  • Pray for Body of Christ to walk in faith and hope exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit by abounding in faith/ hope/ love/ joy/ peace/ patients/ kindness/ faithfulness/ righteousness/ holiness/ mercy/ etc.
      "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
  • Pray for the Body of Christ to become a spiritual family that excels in deep love toward one another and see one another as the Father loves and sees us.
      “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)
  • Pray the Body of Christ will love one another with tender affections and be devoted to one another along with maintaining unity.
      “I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3)
      “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another, above yourselves.” (Romans 12:9-10)
  • Pray for God to bring together His church in America as a witness to the world.
      "That they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You. May they also be one in Us, that the world may believe that You have sent me." (John 17:21)
  • Pray that as the Body of Christ we serve one another in love.
      “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:16-18)
